This is one of Mark Knopflers Iconic Red Fender Stratocaster’s. We do not have much information on this particular guitar except, it was stage-played and signed by Mark Knopfler at his concert in Shefflield, UK in 2015. Mark donated this guitar after the show and it was later displayed for an auction. This guitar is not comparable to most cheap versions offered on eBay and such websites! Mark Knopfler is a British artist who became known as the frontman of the rock band Dire Straits. Born in Scotland in 1949, he grew up in Newcastle, England and began his musical career in local bands in the 1970s. In 1977, he founded Dire Straits, which were on of the most successful bands in the 80s with songs like “Money For Nothing”, “Brothers in Arms”, “Sultans Of Swing” and many more! The music of Dire Straits was characterized by Knopfler’s unique guitar sound, which mixed elements of rock, folk and country. Mark Knopfler is now recognized as one of the most influential guitarists of his generation. This is the unmistakable sound of Mark Knopfler, one of the most prominent guitar players of the last decades. All paperwork is included!
