Up for auction we have a rare Mark Knopfler Dobro International Guitar stage-played by Mark Knopfler during his “Down The Road Wherever” Tour back in 2019. This particular instrument has been signed later on by Mark and given to the Fender Company. It then was auctioned off for charity organization for children! Mark Knopfler is a British artist who became known as the frontman of the rock band Dire Straits. Born in Scotland in 1949, he grew up in Newcastle, England and began his musical career in local bands in the 1970s. In 1977, he founded Dire Straits, which were on of the most successful bands in the 80s with songs like “Money For Nothing”, “Brothers in Arms”, “Sultans Of Swing” and many more! The music of Dire Straits was characterized by Knopfler’s unique guitar sound, which mixed elements of rock, folk and country. Mark Knopfler is now recognized as one of the most influential guitarists of his generation.
